A beautifully handmade leather rug purse with a unique twist. Each purse is one of a kind and adorned with a small fragment of a vintage hand-knotted Turkish rug, adding colour, texture and a little piece of history to every individual piece.
The natural vegetable-tanned leather provides a simple, understated backdrop for the richly textured rug fragment. As each piece of vintage rug is different, no two purses will be quite the same.
Made slowly and thoughtfully to order in our little studio, each purse is finished by hand, including carefully burnished edges for a smooth and refined finish. The natural leather will soften and develop its own patina with use, making the purse increasingly personal over time. Compact and practical, it is perfect for carrying coins, cards and other everyday essentials.
